Our Doctor
Alan Tomkins, DVM and Taku:
Dr. Tomkins graduated from Washington State University (BVSc 1991, DVM 1992). He practiced small animal medicine, dentistry, and surgery for nearly 15 years in Vancouver, Washington and 2 years in San Francisco before following his heart to Spokane and joining Regal Veterinary Clinic. His special interests in practice include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and geriatrics.
In his spare time, Dr. Tomkins enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, reading, learning the electric bass, lifting weights, meditating, and exploring Spokane and surrounding areas. He is involved with local and national veterinary associations, the Episcopal Church, and volunteer work. He shares his home with a 24 year old cockatoo, Lily, who has been with him for 15 years, and his lab mix Molly.
